LORD Corporation Announces New Chemlok Adhesive and Primer for Metal Bonding

This new adhesive bonds natural rubber and provides excellent glycol and pre-bake resistance as well as temperature resistance and performance up to 150 degrees Celsius. Further, Chemlok 297 primer adheres well to properly prepared metals, such as cold rolled steel and aluminum.

LORD Chemlok 6954 adhesive is recommended for use over Chemlok 297 primer – a solvent-based primer designed to provide excellent resistance to a wide range of environmental conditions. It is composed of a mixture of polymers, organic compounds and mineral fillers dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent system. When used in combination with Chemlok 6954, the result provides exceptional resistance to high-heat applications and environments as well as excellent resistance to hot solutions of water and ethylene glycol or propylene glycol.
