Morgan Advanced Materials has launched its next generation standard wheel balancing transducer, featuring a range of value-adding capabilities. The new transducer offers the automotive sector dynamic force measurement, ease of installation and excellent quality and reliability. Manufactured with wheel balancing equipment in mind, the product range can also be used in automotive applications such as measuring the force exerted on the brake pedal during brake tests, and as a rotor balancing sensor.

Morgan Advanced Materials will be showcasing its extensive ceramic technology capabilities at SENSOR+TEST 2013, to be held at the Nürnberg Exhibition Centre in Germany taking place between 14-16 May. SENSOR+TEST is one of the leading events for providing a comprehensive overview of system expertise and components for measuring, testing and monitoring across all industries.

Morgan Crucible has combined its two divisions Morgan Ceramics and Morgan Engineered Materials to create a unified business under the new name Morgan Advanced Materials. The simplified structure completes the company’s journey over recent years to create a unified and coherent “one Morgan” business that better reflects its activities in a wide range of technically demanding, high performance engineering applications.

Morgan Technical Ceramics is extending its material portfolio with the launch of a new piezoelectric material. PZT5K1 is suitable for applications in the fields of scientific instrumentation, maritime, medical, energy harvesting and general industry. PZT5K1 is just one of a range of Lead Zirconate Titanate materials – more commonly known as PZT – supplied by Morgan Technical Ceramics.

Morgan Thermal Ceramics’ has been named ‘Supplier of the Year’ by Tata Chemicals, a global company specialising in chemicals and crop nutrition. The award further highlights the Morgan Thermal Ceramic’s ongoing commitment in delivering high quality engineering solutions to its customers.

Morgan Technical Ceramics is extending its electro ceramics portfolio, with the launch of a new range of high temperature piezoelectric bimorph components, suitable for sensor and actuator use in a wide range of industrial applications. Manufactured in the company’s facility in Ruabon, North Wales, the new bimorph components are two-layered PZT (Lead Zirconate Titanate) devices which feature a specially-formulated core created from high temperature conductive epoxy glue.
