Two new In-Mold Bonding (IMB) systems have been launched by LORD Corporation, for bonding platinum-cured silicones to multiple substrates, including plastics, without the need for special surface preparation. LORD IMB 3000 and IMB 3010 adhesive solutions effectively bond platinum-cured Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) to various substrates directly in an injection- or compression-moulding process.

LORD has announced the availability of an adhesive and primer designed to be used in high-temperature applications. Specially designed for bonding natural rubber, LORD Chemlok® 6954 is a general purpose adhesive composed of a mixture of polymers, organic compounds and mineral fillers dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent system.

LORD Corporation’s Autoseal® 3500F is designed for use on dense EPDM glass run channel applications where abrasion and chemical resistance are required. The Autoseal 3500F coating offers low coefficient of friction, excellent glass drag properties and non-stick features to glass. Further, LORD Autoseal 3500F reduces squeak and itch noise that often results from automobile vibration and is problematic in many vehicles.
